Join us as a Makeup Artist (MA) at the Common Space for Common Good – A Walk to Remember (Peeking into the Past) this November!

As a MA, you will use your creativity to put on the final touches to the show! You will be doing up the makeup of our Station Masters, who will be in costumes, at the start of the event.

MAs should:

  • Come prepared to do makeup on 23 November (Wed), 11.30am to 2pm;
  • Bring your own makeup.

Be part of our Logistics Crew (LC) at the Common Space for Common Good – A Walk to Remember (Peeking into the Past) this November!

As a LC member, you are vital in supporting the overall operations of the event. You will take charge of the management of the heritage sites and assist Station Masters in the preparation of the venues.

LC should:

  • Attend the compulsory Orientation and Training on 19 November (Sat), 10am to 5pm;
  • Come prepared to support event operations on 23 November (Wed), 10am to 6pm.

Volunteer Befriender

Calling for youths with a passion for children!

Experience being a Volunteer Befriender (VB) at the Common Space for Common Good – A Walk to Remember (Peeking into the Past) this November!

As a VB, you get to buddy with children with diverse family backgrounds and be an older brother or sister to them. You’ll also experience the Jubilee Walk together and play the role of a tour guide as you visit iconic locations which constitute the past elements of the Singapore story.

VBs should:

  • Attend the compulsory Orientation and Training on 19 November (Sat), 11am to 5pm;
  • Come prepared to befriend children on 23 November (Wed), 11am to 6pm; and
  • Be able to converse in English and Mandarin / Malay

Experience being a Station Master (SM) at the Common Space for Common Good – A Walk to Remember (Peeking into the Past) this November!

As an SM, you get to bring life a character that represents the Singapore story and lead in exciting station activities with children! Costumes and scripts will be provided.

SMs should:

  • Attend the compulsory SM Training on 12 November (Sat), 9.30am to 4pm;
  • Participate in the trial run on 19 November (Sat), 10am to 5pm; and
  • Come prepared to take some breaths away on 23 November (Wed), 10am to 6pm.

Experience being a Volunteer Coordinator (VC) at the Common Space for Common Good – A Walk to Remember (Peeking into the Past) this November!

As a VC, you are empowered to create a positive volunteering experience for the Volunteer Befrienders (VBs). Besides that, you get to ensure that the programme runs smoothly and that the VBs and children beneficiaries enjoy themselves! Training will be provided.

VCs should:

  • Attend the compulsory VC Training on 12 November (Sat), 9.30am to 4pm;
  • Meet with your VBs on 19 November (Sat), 10am to 5pm; and
  • Come prepared to lead your VBs on 23 November (Wed), 10am to 6pm.

Who We Are

Youth Corps Singapore is a national institution that supports young Singaporeans who are keen to serve the community. As the champion for youth volunteerism, it harnesses the energy and passion of youths to ignite positive change in the society through community service.

Bringing together Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 16 to 35, Youth Corps Singapore provides a platform for youths to learn new skills and meet like-minded peers, who aspire to go forth and create a better Singapore and a better world for all.

What We Offer

As a Member of Youth Corps Singapore, you can make friends with people like yourself at various platforms. Whether it’s health, education, or environmental causes, we offer a diverse range of volunteering opportunities and events for our Members, from community service events to regular volunteering.

Members can also join our Leaders Programme as Aspirants. We provide relevant trainings where you can take your skills and knowledge of service-learning to the next level, and apply them to a project to impact the community. You will also forge greater bonds with fellow Aspirants, and enjoy exclusive perks. When you are conferred as a Leader, you get to continue to develop yourself, initiate community projects and rally your friends to join you on a good cause.

The Red Box

Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.

The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
