Want to be in the thick of the action? Event Volunteers will be shadowing the NDP Committee and assisting them with onsite duties such as guiding beneficiaries to their allocated seats. You will play an important role in ensuring smooth transitions for the various beneficiary groups, and an enjoyable experience for all.

Event Volunteers will be required to attend a mandatory briefing on Saturday, 30 July from 10.00am to 12.30pm at the National Stadium. Reporting location to be advised nearer the date. Reporting time and location for actual day duty will be confirmed post-briefing.

*minimum age of volunteer is 17 years old.

Volunteer Befriender

Have you been interested in learning sign language or interacting with the hearing impaired? Volunteer Befrienders will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the deaf community, make new friends, and celebrate abilities together! As a Volunteer Befriender, you will be interacting with members of the Singapore Association for the Deaf who comprise children, adults as well as the elderly.

As part of the volunteering opportunity, Volunteer Befrienders will be required to attend a mandatory briefing and pre-engagement session on Saturday, 18 June from 12.30pm to 5.30pm. The briefing includes the following components:

- Deaf awareness programme

- Introduction to sign language

- Learning and practising some hand signs for selected NDP songs

- Interaction with members of the Singapore Association for the Deaf through painting of mosaic cards to form the larger Our Mosaic Mural

The briefing and pre-engagement session will be held at the Singapore Association for the Deaf, 227 Mountbatten Road, Singapore 397998.

Reporting time and location for actual day duty will be confirmed post-briefing.

Who We Are

Youth Corps Singapore is a national institution that supports young Singaporeans who are keen to serve the community. As the champion for youth volunteerism, it harnesses the energy and passion of youths to ignite positive change in the society through community service.

Bringing together Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 16 to 35, Youth Corps Singapore provides a platform for youths to learn new skills and meet like-minded peers, who aspire to go forth and create a better Singapore and a better world for all.

What We Offer

As a Member of Youth Corps Singapore, you can make friends with people like yourself at various platforms. Whether it’s health, education, or environmental causes, we offer a diverse range of volunteering opportunities and events for our Members, from community service events to regular volunteering.

Members can also join our Leaders Programme as Aspirants. We provide relevant trainings where you can take your skills and knowledge of service-learning to the next level, and apply them to a project to impact the community. You will also forge greater bonds with fellow Aspirants, and enjoy exclusive perks. When you are conferred as a Leader, you get to continue to develop yourself, initiate community projects and rally your friends to join you on a good cause.

The Red Box

Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.

The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
