Art Threapy by The Red Pencil

The Red Pencil brings the power of arts therapy around the world to children and families who have been through traumatic life circumstances, for which they have no words.  The Red Pencil programmes help them heal and grow through the arts, by offering an alternative way of expression towards balance, empowerment and resilience.

In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the basics of art therapy and its applications. The workshop will involve a lot of interaction, discussion and hands on in doing art.

Coffee Appreciation by Bettr Barista

Bettr Barista is a social enterprise which aims to make the world a Bettr, more socially conscious place, through all things coffee. Their  business exists to create opportunities for positive impact in everything they do - from their people and products, to their partners and the planet - empowering those they touch along the way to THINK, FEEL, DO, LIVE and BE… Bettr.

In this workshop participants will learn more of the evolution of coffee and an introduction to the various flavours and aromas that one can find in coffee - through an interactive activity that will tap on one senses. The workshop will end off with a brew demonstration on 3 handbrew methods, like the Clever, December Dripper and Aerobie Aeropress.

Brush Lettering by Dottieshop

Dottieshop is owned by a stay-at-home-mum named Dorothea who enjoys creating art that inspires others to dream big and live meaningful lives. Dottie shop offers custom artwork and paper floral arrangements for weddings and other events, as well as a range of ready-to-purchase prints for the home and office. Dottieshop also run regular workshops in collaboration with various partners, and have previously worked with SCAPE Singapore, Bold At Work and Singapore Writer’s Festival.

In this workshop, one will be learning the basics of calligraphy under the watchful guidance of the experienced trainer Dorothea and participants will get to bring their artworks home!

Who We Are

Youth Corps Singapore is a national institution that supports young Singaporeans who are keen to serve the community. As the champion for youth volunteerism, it harnesses the energy and passion of youths to ignite positive change in the society through community service.

Bringing together Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 16 to 35, Youth Corps Singapore provides a platform for youths to learn new skills and meet like-minded peers, who aspire to go forth and create a better Singapore and a better world for all.

What We Offer

As a Member of Youth Corps Singapore, you can make friends with people like yourself at various platforms. Whether it’s health, education, or environmental causes, we offer a diverse range of volunteering opportunities and events for our Members, from community service events to regular volunteering.

Members can also join our Leaders Programme as Aspirants. We provide relevant trainings where you can take your skills and knowledge of service-learning to the next level, and apply them to a project to impact the community. You will also forge greater bonds with fellow Aspirants, and enjoy exclusive perks. When you are conferred as a Leader, you get to continue to develop yourself, initiate community projects and rally your friends to join you on a good cause.

The Red Box

Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.

The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
