Calling out to all who loves exercise, fitness, Zumba and have a heart for seniors! Come join us as a volunteer befriender on every Saturday, 830AM - 1130AM at BLK 51 TELOK BLANGAH DRIVE from 10 Aug to 19 Oct. There is no session on every last Saturday of the month (27 Jul, 31 Aug & 28 Sep).

Nearest MRT station: Telok Blangah CCL (5-10 min walk to Blk 51)

As a Volunteer Befriender(VB) your role will include:

  1. Befriending and engaging the elderly during the execution of exercises

  2. Ensuring the safety of the elderly at all times

  3. Assist with any ad-hoc duties

  4. Spread happiness and have lots of fun!

There will be a separate Orientation & Training session on 3 Aug, 1pm - 4pm at 28 Telok Blangah Rise #01-219 S090028. The Orientation & Training session is COMPULSORY.

The commitment for this regular service programme is at least 7 out of the 10 sessions, for a period of 3 months from 3 Aug to 19 Oct 2019

Who We Are

Youth Corps Singapore is a national institution that supports young Singaporeans who are keen to serve the community. As the champion for youth volunteerism, it harnesses the energy and passion of youths to ignite positive change in the society through community service.

Bringing together Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 16 to 35, Youth Corps Singapore provides a platform for youths to learn new skills and meet like-minded peers, who aspire to go forth and create a better Singapore and a better world for all.

What We Offer

As a Member of Youth Corps Singapore, you can make friends with people like yourself at various platforms. Whether it’s health, education, or environmental causes, we offer a diverse range of volunteering opportunities and events for our Members, from community service events to regular volunteering.

Members can also join our Leaders Programme as Aspirants. We provide relevant trainings where you can take your skills and knowledge of service-learning to the next level, and apply them to a project to impact the community. You will also forge greater bonds with fellow Aspirants, and enjoy exclusive perks. When you are conferred as a Leader, you get to continue to develop yourself, initiate community projects and rally your friends to join you on a good cause.

The Red Box

Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.

The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
