As a photographer/videographer you will gain the opportunity to capture the memories and stories of seniors and volunteers as they engage in various activities.

Role:

1. Take pictures

2. Take videos

3. Collate pictures and videos from all sessions for the the carnival

The commitment for this programme is 5 out of 7 sessions from May to June 2019. It is Mandatory to attend the carnival on 29 June 2019 Saturday, 3pm to 7pm.

Sessions are on Saturday mornings 8.30am to 11.30am.

Assist Team Renaissance in

  1. Organising regular session and carnival 

  2. Volunteer managment

  4. Media 

All volunteers are required to attend a mandatory:

Volunteer Befriender

As a Volunteer Befriender, you will gain the opportunity to befriend seniors of Jurong West neighbourhood and engage them through various theme-based activities. You will also get to hear the life stories of seniors and meet like minded individuals.

Role of Befriender :

  1. Engage seniors during the sessions

  2. Capture the stories of seniors

  3. Assist in planning and organising a carnival to showcase the stories of seniors

All volunteers are required to attend a mandatory:

  • Carnival on 29 June 2019, Saturday, 3pm to 7pm.

Who We Are

Youth Corps Singapore is a national institution that supports young Singaporeans who are keen to serve the community. As the champion for youth volunteerism, it harnesses the energy and passion of youths to ignite positive change in the society through community service.

Bringing together Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 16 to 35, Youth Corps Singapore provides a platform for youths to learn new skills and meet like-minded peers, who aspire to go forth and create a better Singapore and a better world for all.

What We Offer

As a Member of Youth Corps Singapore, you can make friends with people like yourself at various platforms. Whether it’s health, education, or environmental causes, we offer a diverse range of volunteering opportunities and events for our Members, from community service events to regular volunteering.

Members can also join our Leaders Programme as Aspirants. We provide relevant trainings where you can take your skills and knowledge of service-learning to the next level, and apply them to a project to impact the community. You will also forge greater bonds with fellow Aspirants, and enjoy exclusive perks. When you are conferred as a Leader, you get to continue to develop yourself, initiate community projects and rally your friends to join you on a good cause.

The Red Box

Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.

The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
