'Viva La Pet Fiesta' is one of the pet-themed events under the Stirring Stirling Series.

Through our prior engagement with the residents, we noticed that most residents in the neigbourhood own pets or love to interact with their neighours' pets. This inspired us to hold a pet-themed event together with the residents to engage the community with the aim of empowering the residents based on their strengths and interests.

In addition, we hope to use the event as an opportunity to collect life stories from the residents that uncovers their strengths, interests and hobbies with the hope of disseminating such stories during our finale event for the residents at the area to know more about each other.

As an adult befriender, you will be expected to take care of the welfare of the adult residents and engage them in our craft making activities and dialouge session (which is faciliated by one of our residents).

There will be a pre-event breifing on 11th April 7-8pm at Redbox and the actual event will take place on 13th April 7pm-9.30pm at Queenstown Community Center.

Attendance for both the pre-event brefing and the actual event is required.

We provide relevant trainings where you can take your skills and knowledge of service-learning to the next level, and apply them to a project to impact the community. You will also forge greater bonds with fellow Aspirants, and enjoy exclusive perks. When you are conferred as a Leader, you get to continue to develop yourself, initiate community projects and rally your friends to join you on a good cause.

The Red Box

Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.

The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
