Do you have the passion for the environment and desire an opportunity to join the unsung heroes in your community - foreign workers on a trip to Sentosa?
If yes, join us as a volunteer befriender now!
As a Volunteer Befriender, you will be befriending a group of foreign workers from Tuas View Dormitory who are unable to work due to ongoing employment cases with their previous employers or injury. You will be paired with a worker iand tasked to engage him by bringing them around an amazing race around Sentosa. Part of the program is also to inculcate some environmental literacy so that the workers can learn and hopefully apply these skills in their daily living.
Also, while guiding them through the amazing race, you will get the opportunity to interact with these unsung heroes, and get to also understand and appreciate their contribution. Many of them do share the same passion for sports and food and it is your chance to get together in a fun day of activities and games.
The commitment required as a Volunteer Befriender would be the Orientation & Training session and the Actual Event session.

You will also forge greater bonds with fellow Aspirants, and enjoy exclusive perks. When you are conferred as a Leader, you get to continue to develop yourself, initiate community projects and rally your friends to join you on a good cause.
The Red Box
Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.
The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
