Big Brother Big Sister

Closing date: 31 Jan 2019
Number of sessions: 10

Befriend, accompany & have fun with children & youth with ASD on our forthnightly playdates!

Other than regularly buddying the children, the big brothers and big sisters will have to form their own teams of 3 – 4 to adopt a playdate, where they will be in charge of planning and organising the activities for that playdate. Eg: watching movies & cartoons, sandwich making, doing simple craft or even having science experiment.

Commitment will stretch beyond the 10 regular sessions we are looking at  (Feb to Jun). When planning the activities, the big brothers big sisters are expected to meet in their own teams, and even to meet the caregivers/staff for a consultation session (if necessary).

*Volunteers from BBBS 1.0 & YCS Members who attended the sharing session on 24 Jan will be given priority

All Big Brothers & Big Sisters must commit to the compulsory training on 2 Feb 2019, 10.00am to 1.00pm.

End: 29 Jun 2019 12:00

Bringing together Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 16 to 35, Youth Corps Singapore provides a platform for youths to learn new skills and meet like-minded peers, who aspire to go forth and create a better Singapore and a better world for all.

Whether it’s health, education, or environmental causes, we offer a diverse range of volunteering opportunities and events for our Members, from community service events to regular volunteering.

Members can also join our Leaders Programme as Aspirants. We provide relevant trainings where you can take your skills and knowledge of service-learning to the next level, and apply them to a project to impact the community. You will also forge greater bonds with fellow Aspirants, and enjoy exclusive perks. When you are conferred as a Leader, you get to continue to develop yourself, initiate community projects and rally your friends to join you on a good cause.

The Red Box

Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.

The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
