Let us usher in the Festival of Lights with some fun Deepavali-themed crafting activities with our beloved seniors! Get hands on guiding the seniors in making a toran, or door hanging, and adorable decorative elephants! Did you know, Torans are decorative door hangings that are traditionally used to decorate main entrances to please and attract the goddess of wealth, while elephants are sacred animals of Hinduism and are motifs of significant importance? 🐘 Time to engage the seniors and put a smile on their faces, and also walk away with some craft skills! So do remember to head on down & join us for this exciting Saturday morning to forge unforgettable memories with the seniors! We hope to see you there!!!! 😊

What is Young At Art?
Young At Art is a group of youth volunteers that aims to befriend elderly through activities involving various forms of art. Over the past year, our team has been partnering with CARElderly Seniors Activity Centre to keep the seniors active and socially integrated. Through this, Young At Art aims to build a steady pool of committed volunteers to reach out to the elderly communities residing in the neighbourhoods of MacPherson and Circuit Road.

Have you ever wondered how it would feel like to celebrate National Day with seniors? Look no further! Young At Art has come up with 2 different activities for you to partake in and befriend the seniors through those activities! Have fun with the seniors by guiding them in making a photo frame & painting with cotton! Painting with cotton is actually a beneficial activity for the seniors, as it promotes visual stimulation with the use of different paint colours as well as the sense of touch as the seniors would have to use certain materials during the process of making the art. Apart from assisting them in getting creative, you will also get to play the role of a befriender to engage the seniors & put a smile on their faces! Vacancies are limited, so do join us now!

Who We Are

Youth Corps Singapore is a national institution that supports young Singaporeans who are keen to serve the community. As the champion for youth volunteerism, it harnesses the energy and passion of youths to ignite positive change in the society through community service.

Bringing together Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 16 to 35, Youth Corps Singapore provides a platform for youths to learn new skills and meet like-minded peers, who aspire to go forth and create a better Singapore and a better world for all.

What We Offer

As a Member of Youth Corps Singapore, you can make friends with people like yourself at various platforms. Whether it’s health, education, or environmental causes, we offer a diverse range of volunteering opportunities and events for our Members, from community service events to regular volunteering.

Members can also join our Leaders Programme as Aspirants. We provide relevant trainings where you can take your skills and knowledge of service-learning to the next level, and apply them to a project to impact the community. You will also forge greater bonds with fellow Aspirants, and enjoy exclusive perks. When you are conferred as a Leader, you get to continue to develop yourself, initiate community projects and rally your friends to join you on a good cause.

The Red Box

Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.

The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
