Volunteer Befriender

As a Volunteer Befriender (VB), you get to buddy and interact with seniors from AWWA, while touring around the galleries and heritage sites. Their safety and well-being will be your priority. Along Balestier Food Trail, you will also be able to bond with them over lunch and learn about their interesting past stories.
Please ensure that you will be available on 13 October (Sat), 10.00am - 4.30pm at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall.

Volunteer Coordinator

As a Volunteer Coordinator (VC), you are empowered to create a positive volunteering experience for the Volunteer Befrienders (VBs). You will be in-charge of leading your group of VBs and seniors in SYSNMH galleries and on Balestier Food Trail, and sharing about SYSNMH’s exhibits and Balestier’s heritage along the way. You will oversee the smooth running of the programme and ensure that your group moves between the different sites in a timely and orderly manner.
Please ensure that you will be available on 6 October (Sat) 9.30am - 4.00pm and 13 October (Sat), 9.30am - 5.00pm at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall.

Logistics Crew

Volunteer Event Photographer

As a Volunteer Event Photographer (VEP), you will be involved in documenting the event and capturing the heartfelt moments. You will be required to craft short captions to accompany the photos which will be uploaded to YCS social media platforms. A briefing will be done on the event day before the start of the programme. Come equipped and ready with your cameras to click away on 13 October (Sat), 9.30am - 4.30pm at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall.
VPs are highly recommended to be equipped with photography skills and preferably own a camera

Youth Overall In-Charge

As a Youth Overall In-Charge (YOIC), you are empowered to take charge of your team of VBs and VCs. You will lead your team mates through Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall and Balestier Heritage & Food Trail, be an anchor to your own cluster and ensure that things run smoothly during the event.
You are also requirede to brief your fellow team leaders on the event plan and ensure their full understanding of their roles.

Who We Are
Youth Corps Singapore is a national institution that supports young Singaporeans who are keen to serve the community. As the champion for youth volunteerism, it harnesses the energy and passion of youths to ignite positive change in the society through community service.
Bringing together Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 16 to 35, Youth Corps Singapore provides a platform for youths to learn new skills and meet like-minded peers, who aspire to go forth and create a better Singapore and a better world for all.
What We Offer
As a Member of Youth Corps Singapore, you can make friends with people like yourself at various platforms. Whether it’s health, education, or environmental causes, we offer a diverse range of volunteering opportunities and events for our Members, from community service events to regular volunteering.
Members can also join our Leaders Programme as Aspirants. We provide relevant trainings where you can take your skills and knowledge of service-learning to the next level, and apply them to a project to impact the community. You will also forge greater bonds with fellow Aspirants, and enjoy exclusive perks. When you are conferred as a Leader, you get to continue to develop yourself, initiate community projects and rally your friends to join you on a good cause.

The Red Box
Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.
The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
