As a Volunteer Befriender (VB), you get to interact and befriend elderly beneficiaries from our partner organization and engage them in a series of creative and exciting games through the Amazing Heartland Race. Their safety and well-being will be your key priority.

VBs are required to commit to:

  1. Compulsory Orientation & Training session on 7 July, from 10am to 1pm
  2. Actual event on 21 July from 7.30am to 2.30pm

Volunteer Coordinator

As a Volunteer Coordinator (VC), you take charge of the Volunteer Befrienders' (VBs) overall well-being and will be leading groups to game stations during the Amazing Heartland Race. VCs will also be hosts to VBs and conduct various ice-breaker games for group participants. During the Race, VCs will also help encourage interaction among VBs and VBs with their elderly beneficiaries. Safety and well-being is the priority.

VCs are required to commit to:

  1. Compulsory Orientation & Training session on 7 July, from 10am to 1pm
  2. Actual event on 21 July from 7.30am to 2.30pm

Station Master

As a Station Master (SM), you will conduct activities and games at respective stations. Your task is to ensure the integrirty of game props and also engaging volunteers and beneficiaries at your station through fun and games. You will be recording scores for groups according to the scoring matrix which you will be provided with.

SMs are required to commit to:

  1. Compulsory Orientation & Training session on 7 July, from 10am to 1pm
  2. Actual event on 21 July from 7.30am to 2.30pm

Who We Are

Youth Corps Singapore is a national institution that supports young Singaporeans who are keen to serve the community. As the champion for youth volunteerism, it harnesses the energy and passion of youths to ignite positive change in the society through community service.

Bringing together Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 16 to 35, Youth Corps Singapore provides a platform for youths to learn new skills and meet like-minded peers, who aspire to go forth and create a better Singapore and a better world for all.

What We Offer

As a Member of Youth Corps Singapore, you can make friends with people like yourself at various platforms. Whether it’s health, education, or environmental causes, we offer a diverse range of volunteering opportunities and events for our Members, from community service events to regular volunteering.

Members can also join our Leaders Programme as Aspirants. We provide relevant trainings where you can take your skills and knowledge of service-learning to the next level, and apply them to a project to impact the community. You will also forge greater bonds with fellow Aspirants, and enjoy exclusive perks. When you are conferred as a Leader, you get to continue to develop yourself, initiate community projects and rally your friends to join you on a good cause.

The Red Box

Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.

The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
