As a Youth Overall In-Charge, you are empowered to take charge of your team of volunteers. You will be an anchor to the whole event and ensure that things run smoothly before, during and after the event.

You are also required to brief your fellow team leaders on the event plan and ensure their full understanding of their roles.
You will also be in-charge of the briefing to the VBs, as well as ensuring proper grouping for beneficiaries and VBs.

Being a Youth Overall In-charge is a large responsibility to take on and it requires great commitment and leadership skills.

Volunteer Coordinator (VC)

Looking to hone your leadership skills and learn more about volunteer management? If you are responsible, outgoing and proactive, come join us!

As a Volunteer Coordinator (VC), you are empowered to create a positive volunteering experience for the Volunteer Befrienders (VBs). Besides that, you are to ensure that the programme runs smoothly and that the VBs and children beneficiaries enjoy themselves!

VCs should:

  • Attend a compulsory Orientation and Training on Saturday, 26 May from 7.30am to 12.30pm
  • Come prepared to lead your VBs on Thursday, 7 June from 7.00am to 1.30pm

Volunteer Befriender (VB)

Calling for youths with a passion for children!

As a Volunteer Befriender (VB), you get to buddy up with one of the children from our beneficiary organisation and be a friend to them during the trail and arts and craft session. You will also be able to bond with them over lunch. You will also be responsible for their safety and well-being throughout the various activities.

VBs should:

Social Media Volunteer (SMV)

Do you love to post pictures and stories on Instagram? Why not be our Social Media Volunteer (SMV)?

As an SMV, you will be involved in photojournalism on the go - documenting the event and capturing the heartfelt moments. Using your own mobile device, take and post photographs, short videos and IGstories with captions. You will also be managing the event Instagram account that will be pre-created for you, and uploading all the photos to YCS' Google Drive post-event for our records.

Come prepared to snap away on Thursday, 7 June from 7.00am to 1.30pm at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

Who We Are

Youth Corps Singapore is a national institution that supports young Singaporeans who are keen to serve the community. As the champion for youth volunteerism, it harnesses the energy and passion of youths to ignite positive change in the society through community service.

Bringing together Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 16 to 35, Youth Corps Singapore provides a platform for youths to learn new skills and meet like-minded peers, who aspire to go forth and create a better Singapore and a better world for all.

What We Offer

As a Member of Youth Corps Singapore, you can make friends with people like yourself at various platforms. Whether it’s health, education, or environmental causes, we offer a diverse range of volunteering opportunities and events for our Members, from community service events to regular volunteering.

Members can also join our Leaders Programme as Aspirants. We provide relevant trainings where you can take your skills and knowledge of service-learning to the next level, and apply them to a project to impact the community. You will also forge greater bonds with fellow Aspirants, and enjoy exclusive perks. When you are conferred as a Leader, you get to continue to develop yourself, initiate community projects and rally your friends to join you on a good cause.

The Red Box

Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.

The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
