We are looking for passionate youth volunteers who are keen to work with children aged 7 to 12 and engage them through visual arts.

Art for Heart will take place from 14th April 2018 to 7 July 2018 at The Agape, and Family@Agape, a community space established by Lakeside Family Services for residents in Taman Jurong. Address: 21 Yung Ho Rd, Singapore 618593. Nearest MRT: Lakeside Station.

As volunteer befrienders, you will be involved in helping with the executions of the programmes, while at the same time, building relationships with the children, from under-privileged backgrounds in Taman Jurong.

Through the sessions, we hope to bring fun and meaningful experiences for both you and the children.

There will be a short compulsory get-to-know-you session prior to the acceptance of all VBs on one of the following dates and time:

Date: 3rd April 2018 (Tuesday) or 5th April 2018 (Thursday)

Time: 1900hrs to 2100hrs

Volunteers will be contacted individually, upon application, for the availability on these dates.

The volunteers recruited are also required to come for compulsory Training on the following date:

Date: 14th Apr 2018

Time: 1000 hrs to 1200 hrs

Please also ensure that you are able to commit to at least 9 out of 12 programme sessions listed below.

Who We Are

Youth Corps Singapore is a national institution that supports young Singaporeans who are keen to serve the community. As the champion for youth volunteerism, it harnesses the energy and passion of youths to ignite positive change in the society through community service.

Bringing together Singapore Citizens and PRs aged 16 to 35, Youth Corps Singapore provides a platform for youths to learn new skills and meet like-minded peers, who aspire to go forth and create a better Singapore and a better world for all.

What We Offer

As a Member of Youth Corps Singapore, you can make friends with people like yourself at various platforms. Whether it’s health, education, or environmental causes, we offer a diverse range of volunteering opportunities and events for our Members, from community service events to regular volunteering.

Members can also join our Leaders Programme as Aspirants. We provide relevant trainings where you can take your skills and knowledge of service-learning to the next level, and apply them to a project to impact the community. You will also forge greater bonds with fellow Aspirants, and enjoy exclusive perks. When you are conferred as a Leader, you get to continue to develop yourself, initiate community projects and rally your friends to join you on a good cause.

The Red Box

Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.

The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
