Closing date: 05 Jul 2017
Number of sessions: 1
As Chun Nat finds it increasingly challenging to manage over time, the sustainability of the computer lab is at stake. We are currently recruiting volunteers to brainstorm ways to guide Chun Nat better and embark on an implementation trip scheduled from 10 to 20 December 2017 (tentative).
The project would focus on three areas of work:
1) Financial capacity: Chun Nat to source a self-sustainable method of fundraising its expenses incurred from running the computer lab
2) Curriculum planning: finding ways to seamlessly integrate IT into their curriculum
3) Tracking of students’ progress in IT skills: evaluating the usefulness of the computer lab in impacting students’ study and career opportunities
As this project is parked under NYC’s ASEAN Grant, we are looking for youth volunteers with ASEAN nationality (besides Singapore and Cambodia) to join us! We hope to have like-minded ASEAN friends on board with us, so that we can all co-create an interconnected ASEAN community that is passionate about empowering people through education.
Note: This project opportunity is just to indicate your interest. We would reply you once we receive your application here on the portal (as such there is no event per se on 15 July 2017 - it is just a signup deadline). Thanks!

The Red Box
Set in the heart of Orchard Road, The Red Box is a place for youths to gather, exchange ideas and take action to make Singapore a better home for all. Its name draws inspiration from the red box of Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It represents the late Mr Lee’s love and conviction towards creating a better Singapore.
The Red Box is open to all Youth Corps Members to ignite positive change in our community. Look out for various enrichment and engagement sessions at The Red Box.
