Bicentennial Amazing Race Photo Challenge

“It is important that our heritage is presented to all parts of society... Many of them (volunteers) are very passionate about our heritage, and they would also like to do something for the society, to care for someone else.” - Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth.

Bringing together heritage and youth volunteerism, the Children, Youth & Family (CYF) Cluster is organizing “The Bicentennial Photo Challenge” to provide youths the opportunity to play the role of a buddy for children and youths, aged 10 to 14, from SHINE Children & Youth Services.

The Bicentennial Amazing Race Photo Challenge consists of a photo-hunt challenge within an amazing race activity while exploring around Boat Quay and Fort Canning Park. As we commemorate Singapore Bicentennial with the 200th anniversary of Raffles’ landing in Singapore, we would also feature a special visit to the Main Show “Time Traveller” and a free and easy experience comprising interactive pavilions within the greenery of Fort Gate.

SHINE Children & Youth Services is a non-profit organization that serves its clients from age 5 to 21, providing socio and emotional support through school-based, center-based and community-based programmes.

If you are seeking to open up your experience with the children and youths from disadvantaged community, we welcome you to be the buddy for the clients in this Bicentennial Amazing Race Photo Challenge.

This event is presented to you by the CYF Cluster.
