Metta Home

Our Projects

Picturesque

If you are keen to learn more about person with intellectual disability , we have just the opportunity for you! We are looking for volunteers who are keen to befriend the residents of Metta Home for a one-day mass outing to the S.E.A Aquarium titled " Lens Under the Sea!".

Project Picturesque aims to promote photography to the residents of Metta Home - Home for the Disabled as a way to express themselves. We wish to improve the quality of life of the residents and encourage a sense of creativity as they express themselves  through photography. There will be a photo exhibition for the photos taken to raise awareness among the public about the special needs.

During this mass outing , the residents will be engaged in various activities like crafts and photo-taking in and around S.E.A Aquarium. Through this, the residents will be able to communicate and interact with the community which will translate to greater exposure of the special needs. This will also benefit the residents as they will feel more connected and integrate better with the community.

The SEA Aquarium outing - Lens Under the Sea is part of the Aspirant Project Picturesque.

So what are you waiting for? Join us now!

This project is part of Youth Corps Singapore’s Leaders Programme.
