Regular Volunteering Programmes

Regular volunteering programmes provide regular interaction with a specific beneficiary group, and thus youths have the opportunity to deepen their skills and knowledge in that particular sector. Volunteers will be required to commit for a period of at least 6 months.

YOLDEN PROGRAMME is an ongoing regular volunteering programme we offer. The YOLDEN Moments with the Elderly is an elderly befriending programme which aims to cater to the physical, intellectual and social emotional wellness of the beneficiaries. “YO” comes from the word “YOuths” and “OLDEN” comes from the word “gOLDEN”, which represents the elderly. The programme addresses the urgent need for volunteers in eldercare centres as Singapore faces a silver tsunami. As Youth Volunteers at YOLDEN, you can look forward to:

  1. Learning from the life experiences of the elderly

  2. Making friends with like-minded youths from all walks of life

  3. Gaining skills and knowledge in befriending and engaging the elderly
